#QuesadaHomeEdition Meals to Go @QuesadaBurritos #Review #TwitterParty
We’ve all been there. Out on the road, running errands, picking kid A up from this practice, getting kid B from that playdate, then it hits. What’s for supper? That thought that crosses every parent’s mind and is met with a mild panic attack while you calculate the following formula (food in fridge) x (ingredients in fridge) divided by total amount of energy you have. This mathematical formula all too often leads to a begrudging decision that despite wanting a healthier food option you’ll probably end up picking up dinner. What if I were to tell you there IS a healthier option that you can pick up?
Think luscious lettuce, crisp and chopped into fine strips diced tomatoes, crispy red onions finely chopped, succulent corn, fresh cilantro and then meat, seafood and veggies to accompany them. Add to this a choice or two salsas, sour cream, flour tortillas AND corn tacos. Pretty much the exact meal you wish you could eat on a weekday after a long day of work only you’re too wiped to stand in the kitchen and chop it all, season and cook it to perfection,The mere thought of it fatigues you, yet it all sounds….so….delicious.
The other night I had the pleasure of trying out Quesada Tacos & Burritos. A new location recently opened up on the West Island of Montreal. I stopped by to pick up their new Quesada Home Edition meals with everything I’ve listed above included for less than I’d spend for most meals for a family of four. I walked out of the restaurant and rushed to my car. The smells were intoxicating. The entire inside of my car smelled like a gourmet fine dining experience. I stopped to pick my kids up from a friend’s place on the way home, she walked by my open car door, turned to me and said “WHAT SMELLS SOOO GOOD?” I told her it was the Quesada Home Edition meal and that we were having an amazing taco/tortilla dinner.
Everything was so well packaged in individual recyclable trays and small plastic containers. All I had to do when I got home was to set the table and dig in. It was A LOT of food. We all ate to our fill and still had leftovers perfect for a nice salad the following day.
Given the quality of the ingredients, selection and service I was not surprised to learn that Entrepreneur magazine selected Quesada as one of the Top 500 Food Franchises in North America. There are more than two dozen Quesada Burritos & Tacos locations across Canada
Overall I really loved the convenience factor. Everything was so easy to assemble, delicious and FRESH. I loved that I could very easily make the meal paleo by tossing all of the ingredients together minus the tortilla or nachos and there’s something for everyone to enjoy. My daughter and I love our spice whereas the boys of the house not so much. We chose a medium and spicy salsa and everyone was happy. Not to mention the crispy, well salted tortilla chips my kids couldn’t stop snacking on after supper. They were really fresh, crisp and highly addictive. I don’t eat meat out (unless it’s halal) but my family and I were really satisfied with the seafood/vegetarian options and would highly recommend them. Check them out for yourself at a location near you.

I love the versatility of the Taco Kit. I have to be gluten free so I was still able to enjoy it as long as I ate the hard shells instead of the soft. It’s so awesome that they can cater to so many different dietary needs.
Hey Fariha! I tried the taco kit as well and the kids loved it, but they are already very familiar with the Quesada. 😉 Glad you enjoyed it!
