Pick your poison: High heels or flats?

How many times have I heard women say to me “I love shoes but I hate shopping for them” or I bought them and they are not comfortable. Be it high heel or even flats, there is no reassurance that they will be foot-friendly. 

Do you ladies know the best time to shop for shoes? It’s after 2 p.m. because our feet swell after noon. It is the best way to judge the quality, wear and tear of the shoes.

Being Canadian, size matters. American shoes are made bigger and European are made smaller.

I love a great pair of high heel or flats. I mean some look like candy and some look even sinful to wear (does that stop me ?) not really, I buy them and then end up wearing them only a couple of times.

It’s a good idea to spend more money in fall and winter as the seasons are longer versus spring and summer. Ever notice shoes tend to be not as expensive?

Well, are you ladies overwhelmed yet or just super excited?

As a retail therapist, I get questions such as “I don’t wear dresses because flats don’t look good,”  or “I own so many shoes and cannot match them up with my outfits.”

Sometime it’s the right nylon, the length of the hem, shape of the legs, the height of the shoe; all these factors play am important role.

These are some of the basics of how to shop and be happy with our treasure finds; your feet will thank you at the end of the day. Our feet are a very important part of our body that should be taken care of. Think of it this way, they carry the weight of your entire body.

The muscles you never heard of are being used, your long term posture, and your confidence are all very important. Hello happy feet!
