Saving money while eating well with @GetFlipp #FlippFoodChallenge
Long summer days mean quick light meals, grilling and plenty of fresh fruit in our house. I’d rather spend my days hanging out with the kids, swimming and making memories than at the grocery store several times a week. We try to limit trips to the grocery store to once a week when possible. That means making sure I am getting the best deal possible on the items we do buy. When it comes to saving money and getting a great deal, it’s a no brainer for us, we turn to Flipp. It is hands down our favourite shopping companion. It’s a one stop shop for making a list, finding coupons and deals and saving tons of money every week.
The location-based app delivers the latest flyers from your favourite stores right to your pocket. Plus, with Flipp’s in-app shopping list and coupon matching features, shoppers can quickly and easily find the very best deals on whatever they need, and receive instant savings at checkout!
My family and I got to participate in the Flipp Summer Food Challenge and shop while using the Flipp app. It was easy peasy to do given that we use the Flipp app just about every week. Who wouldn’t want to save money on everyday items?
For the challenge, we had $100 to shop for our favorite summer groceries using the Flipp app. The menu we came up with was tandoori chicken, naan, raita (coriander/yogurt sauce), leftovers of the chicken were used to make tandoori chicken Caesar wraps (perfect for my 8/10 year old kids to help with), sliced fruit and homemade carrot cake!
Here’s a sneak peak at what my grocery list looked like.
Using Flipp is a breeze. In fact the kids and I dubbed our tandoori chicken Caesar wraps the best “Flipping” chicken wraps around. Lol, gotta love kid humour. Have you downloaded Flipp yet? Download it now and leave a comment below telling me what is your favourite way to use the app.
