Easy Homemade Applesauce #recipe
By Jennell Dukovac, CanadianMomEh.com
A few years back we went apple picking with friends. The kids had a great time and we had a whole lot of apples! As you know, I’m on the journey to being a better mother, I asked myself, what can I make for my kids? Applesauce!!! Holy Moley, it was EASY!! I was in shock, I never knew. My children gobbled up my easy homemade applesauce like there was no tomorrow.
That makes someone like me, who is cooking challenged, feel good. One point for Mom!
One of the best thing about making applesauce is that the apples can be bruised. If you are near an orchard or a farmers market you can ask if there is any seconds, all that means is that they have minor imperfections or bruises but they are still good. They are priced lower as well, which is always nice for the pocket book.
This recipe will make 2 cups of delicious apple sauce! Being a family of six we usually triple the recipe.
