Easy Baked Samosa #recipe
Who doesn’t love a good samosa? Those tender, flaky crusts filled with spicy potatoes and peas or sometimes deliciously seasoned ground beef. Our family grew up eating samosas and some of my earliest memories include licking the spicy goodness off my fingers at the dinner table. While samosas are delicious and a crowd favourite, the fact that they are normally fried is not quite as fun or healthy. Over the years, I’ve substituted the buttery fried dough for a simple puff pastry which is readily available at most grocery stores.
Here’s the recipe for my spicy ground beef though you’re welcome to use whichever seasonings your family enjoys.
I’ve always wanted a good recipe for samosa filling and you make it look totally doable even for someone as clueless in the kitchen as myself 😉 the bonus is that I currently have all the ingredients necessary for this in my home at the moment! thanks for the awesome content
My pleasure Fatema 🙂 I hope you and your family enjoy!
Oh wow..this looks like something we make in the Caribbean. Oh I so wish for a bite!
It’s delicious and so easy to make, try it out for yourself 🙂
I have never heard of these let alone eaten one. I really think my son would devour them. Writing the recipe down!
I have never heard of a samosa before. They sound good, it’s just not something we eat around here.

I’ve never heard of these, but it sounds good! I’ve been in the mood to cook and bake lately, so the family is enjoying it!
I’ve seen these before somewhere and every time I see it I automatically see samoas (like the Girl Scout cookie)
I have never heard of these either, but they sounds and look amazing!

Never had this but it looks delicious.
These look amazing! I love all types of “empanadas”, which these look very similar to. I also like that your recipe calls for baking them instead of frying them.
Oh yum that sounds absolutely delicious and something the other half would just love to try as well. x
I LOVE Samosas. Our neighbour makes them and gives some to us…it’s like Christmas everytime she appears at our doorway with a container packed. 🙂
These Samosas look so good. They remind me of the empanadas that my grandfather used to make in Spain when I was a kid.
Those look delicious. I’m not much of a cook so I appreciate your simple recipe!
I’ve never tried a recipe like this before. It seems very cool!
We have never made these, but I bet you everyone in my family would love if I did. I’m going to pin it. Thanks for the share.

What kind of puffed pastry sheet..? Never seen this before
My favourite one to use is President Choice butter puff pastry.
Have never made or eaten samosas before ….. looked very difficult, but even I could manage after reading these tips and instructions…. off to the market I am!
Wonderful! I’d love to hear how they turn out.
Do you have a suggestion about a vegetarian filling for our daughter who won’t eat the beef? Same spices?
Absolutely, I’d highly recommend potato and or green peas following a similar recipe.
