@Cavalia #OdysseoQc #review
I was recently invited to attend a VIP night at Cavalia Odysseo. If you read this post, you’ll know how giddy with excitement I was. The evening did NOT dissapoint.

The beautiful white tents housing Cavalia Odysseo are the size of a 10-story building and cover the area of roughly two football fields.
The show was incredible. There are a total of 46 artists; riders, acrobats, aerialists, dancers and musicians and they hail from all over the world.

The backdrops were simiply breathtaking; combined with the lighting and effects actually changed the landscape from one act to the next.
What started as a misty enchanted rainforest, transformed into the savanna of Africa, the American Southwest, the Northern Lights, an ice cave, verdant fields and Easter Island. The incredible backdrops and special effects were matched brilliantly by live singers and musicians perched in the rafters.
The music is crafted by acclaimed composer Michel Cusson and performed live to allow the horses maximum freedom to play and frolic on stage.
The performers expertly stood and rode on two horses at a time.

There are 6,000 tons of dirt, sand and stone used to create the magnificent stage. Tents are washed by a team of 10 climbers in each city.
Breathtaking beauty. Video does not do it justice @cavalia #odysseoQc https://t.co/gHCgMV3XFz

This video is a prime illustration of the magnificent backdrop.

The show featured a real carousel and an 80,000 gallon lake that appears in front of a mesmerizing video backdrop the size of three IMAX screens.

Members of the audience were gripping the edge of their seats when performers were jumping on and off the horses; in one case, climbing all the way around the horse as it was in a full gallop.

This scene was one of my personal favourites as the performers dangled from the ceiling and were pulled by flowing white fabric. They performed magnificent acrobatics while suspended in mid-air.

It was incredible to watch the beautiful creatures gallop around in the water on stage!

Wow, sounds amazing!!! I saw their posters in Edmonton last year and thought about checking it out, but never got around to it. Now I’m wishing I had! I’ll definitely watch for them to come back to a city near me sometime. Thanks for sharing!
