2016 Chevrolet Tahoe #review #ChevyAmbsdr @chevroletcanada
The 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe is one luxurious, spacious and versatile seven seater! It is hands down the largest vehicle I have ever driven but a complete game changer when it comes to marrying superior quality, comfort, drivability and state of the art technology with the reliability you can expect from Chevrolet.
Like many second generation Canadians from South Asia, I come from a very large family. That means lots of picking up cousins for playdates, taking an aunt or uncle to an appointment or simply loading the family in the car and heading out for some hot chocolate or ice cream. Family is everything to me and naturally that means that safety and comfort matter a lot when I’m driving around with my most precious cargo.
Safety
The Tahoe offers StabiliTrak stability control system with brake assist including traction control. An automatic occupant sensing system, sensor indication inflatable restraint and front passenger/child presence detector. These are some of the things that matter to me when I’m looking for a vehicle for my large family.
Lane Keep Assist is a great feature to have in this vehicle, particularly given its large dimensions. Any time I would sway to the edge of the lane or too close to the vehicle next to me the seat would vibrate. I have driven cars that will beep instead, I personally find the seat vibration to be so much more practical and efficient at getting and keeping my attention when it comes to safety. The forward collision alert sensor was also very handy for the same reason. These added features are integral when driving a large vehicle.
Another great safety feature that ties in great with my next point is having my text messages read to me while I am driving. It is both convenient, safe and indispensable. If you work remotely or ever feel the need to respond to a message while driving (but of course don’t because it wouldn’t be safe) this is particularly useful! What makes it even better is that you have the option to dictate a response to the message at the same time.
Connectivity
Now we get to my FAVOURITE *cue harps* part. OnStar with 4G LTE and built-in Wi-Fi hotpspot to connect to the internet. As a parent, a work at home mom and social media strategist this makes my heart sing with happiness. For starters, imagine a long road trip. Now add Netflix. Game = over. My kids could watch Netflix in the car on their electronic devices and I could have peace and quiet. Yes. That actually happens from time to time. I loved dropping my kids to their karate lesson then pulling out my laptop and working from the car. GM is the first automaker to offer 4G LTE technology and it is a technological innovation that changes the way we use our vehicles.
The USB ports located in the front and rear panels of the vehicle are particularly handy when driving with company. Everyone needs to juice up their electronics. The more ports the better!
Climate Control
I speak about climate control in my video review because I didn’t realize how much I would appreciate this feature until I actually tested it out. Having separate controls for the driver and front passenger are relatively common however having separate climate controls in the backseat is awesome. My kids particularly loved this one. So much so that they couldn’t quite decide whether to set the back of the vehicle to 26 degrees or 18. 26 or 18. 18 or 26. You get the idea. Fortunately for me there is a LOCK feature that allowed me to have them find a middle ground and lock the control. Fight stopped. We were all happy (me more than them!).
Apple Car Play
Apple car play is amazing. It connects the familiar phone interface you are accustomed to on your phone, to your vehicle. I loved looking up an address from my home before heading out, plugging in my phone and then starting to drive without unnecessary delays due to punching in an address or other cumbersome tech delays. Check out the video for more details on Apple Carplay.
These are only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to incredible, well thought out features offered in the 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe. From my big family to yours, I give this vehicle the CanadianMomEh two thumbs up!
That sounds like a really sweet ride. I want a Chevy for my next car.

This is a nice look vehicle, would be great for our family. The wifi hotspot would be perfect for me.Great review
Chevy makes great cars. They are very sturdy and great for families.
The wifi hotspot would be perfect for when Bella is traveling in the car with us which is pretty much all the time. She loves using our cellpones to watch netflix but we get some places and the wifi drops she has a moment of frustration.
I have a friend who has a Tahoe and she really likes it. This is such a beautiful vehicle!
I can’t even tell you how much I want to drive one of these bad boys. I love to look at ’em, I imagine driving one would be that much more fun. 😉
They Chevy Tahoe looks awesome. Chevy has really come a long way in changing their perception.
My husband has a Trail Blazer – we really like having a Chevy. They are nice cars.

Wow looks like a pretty awesome car. I’ve always heard great things about Chevy. We don’t drive so I really don’t know much about cars but this Tahoe looks great!

The Chevy Tahoe is a wonderful car. I love all of the space that it has for families.
The 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe looks like a great vehicle for a family. We have been wanting to upgrade our car. I will have to take one for a test drive.
I would love a vehicle like the 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe. I love all the great extras it has. I need a great stereo system in a car.
I am not usually one to be impressed by a vehicle, but the Tahoe is gorgeous! I love the safety features, because when you are traveling with your family, safety is so important. The Apple Car Play also sounds like an awesome feature!
This sounds like a great ride! My SIL has a vehicle that reads texts and allows you to make calls hands-free and play music from your phone. Not to mention…… Heated seats! I have no idea what the name is though.
